Luke 4:18-19

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

OUR WORK

We pursue our mission by leveraging more than 50 years of experience in ministry and counseling to offer personal-development courses for laypeople, students, ministers or professionals who want a biblical, holistic approach to helping others – or themselves – in the following areas:

R

Growing constructive personal associations.

R

Conquering unhealthy behaviors.

R

Working through growth-inhibiting experiences.

R

Establishing new behaviors that encourage strong character and achievement.

R

Interacting and communicating meaningfully and successfully with others.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to equip the saints for the work of ministry in order to build up the body of Christ. Specifically, as in Isaiah 61, it’s our desire to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for captives, release prisoners from darkness and proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

We invite you to join founder and president Dr. Marlin Lance in the classroom through a series of videos that outline principles, methods, techniques and practical applications that will not only enhance your abilities to engage others and lead them toward healing but will no doubt enrich you in your spiritual and personal journey, as well. Whether it’s learning to identify and understand how personalities affect relationships, taking steps to transform brokenness and bondage into a blessed life, embracing coffee-cup counseling to build foundations for trust, or empowering individuals to overcome traumatic experiences, we want to teach and prepare you for the unique opportunities of ministry.

OUR HEART | YOUR HELP | THEIR HOPE

Our mission doesn’t have borders, and we aim to carry it out across the whole world. Currently, we are supporting gospel ministry globally, including India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Nepal, Burma and Kenya. We refuse to turn down people God brings us due to finances, so we never want our services to be cost prohibitive. For our educational resources, we offer scholarships supported by the generosity of our student investors and donors, and we give our ministerial services to these native people groups without cost.

Coventry House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so when you purchase our courses or give a donation, you contribute to our ability to continue extending our mission through funding the following:

R

Establishing ministry training centers around the world that educate and empower Christians.

R

Exercising our Barnabas Initiative overseas – this program, named after “the son of encouragement,” helps pastors and other ministry-serving saints through struggles they face in their own ministries.

R

Content development and production improvement for our courses that help build up confidence and knowledge in individuals on various Christian teachings and how they can use what they learn to lead their best lives.
